Lesson 1:
Genesis 1:1-3, 31
(1) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (2) The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. (3) Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. … (31) Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Lesson 2:
Job 38:3-4; 39:19, 26-27; 40:9
(Job 38:3-4) Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me. (4) "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. … (Job 39:19) "Have you given the horse strength?… (Job 39:26-27) "Does the hawk fly by your wisdom, And spread its wings toward the south? (27) Does the eagle mount up at your command, And make its nest on high? … (Job 40:9) Have you an arm like God? Or can you thunder with a voice like His?
Lesson 3:
John 19:17-18, 30
(17) And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, (18) where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. … (30) So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Lesson 4:
Luke 19:2-10
(2) Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. (3) And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. (4) So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. (5) And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, "Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house." (6) So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. (7) But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, "He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner." (8) Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold." (9) And
Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; (10) "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."
Lesson 5:
1 Corinthians 15:20, 35-37, 42-44a, 54-57
(20) But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. … (35) But someone will say, "How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?" (36) Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. (37) And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain; perhaps wheat or some other grain. … (42) So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. (43) It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. (44) It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. … (54) So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." (55) "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" (56) The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. (57) But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
